Forest Hills is a small residential city bordered on the north by Harding Place, the south by Old Hickory Boulevard, the west by Chickering Road and the east by Granny White Pike. As the name implies, Forest Hills is characterized by steep wooded hills, some as high as 1000 feet above sea level. Hundreds of homes have been built in the area since the 1970s, many on parcels of one to two acres, and some of the area’s original estates are on as many as ten or more. Forest Hills has seen its share of infill development, though much less than neighboring Green Hills. Residents of Forest Hill enjoy privacy, convenience to both Green Hills and Belle Meade shopping and close proximity to one of Nashville’s treasures, Radnor Lake, Nashville’s first natural area and protected ecosystem. |
